Caernarfon Town Centre Regeneration Project 2024

We are delighted to have received financial support through the Shared Prosperity Fund (North Wales) and awaiting confirmation of additional funding via the Transforming Towns (Welsh Government) fund to buy key properties within Caernarfon town centre.

Galeri Caernarfon Cyf (initially known as Cwmni Tref Caernarfon) was established in 1992 with the main purpose of regenerating the town. At the time, 50% of the buildings within the walled town were vacant, for sale (or both) and in a poor condition.

We went on to purchase over 20 properties within the first decade, making an instant impact on improving the condition of the properties, the aesthetic of buildings/streets, attracting businesses to the town and in doing so, creating jobs and benefiting the local economy. Our property portfolio is mainly on the following streets:

The investment in regenerating properties also acted as a catalyst to attract additional investment with other buildings being bought, renovated and new businesses opening to further strengthen the economy.

Through this project, we will be purchasing 4 additional properties in the town where we will upgrade these to a high standard and rent to businesses and residential users.
