Owain Glyndŵr, Cymru ac Ewrop (Owain Glyndŵr, Wales and Europe)

Wales, in terms of language and culture and in terms of tradition and religion - is part of Europe.

This was the realisation and one of the inspirations for the vision of so many Welsh leaders - from Emrys ap Iwan to Saunders Lewis. Owain Glyndŵr's vision was also based on the Welsh connection with the continent of which we are a part .

As we face a very uncertain future, is it possible for the modern Wales to survive without the European dimension - or is it an essential part of our national existence?

These questions will be the essence of Dafydd Wigley's speech which forms Galeri's annual lecture to mark Owain Glyndŵr’s Day.

This is a Welsh language lecture.
